Frequently Asked Questions

Hypnosis is often misunderstood, and we at " The C.Ht. Hypnosis Center" spend a great deal of time discussing the various myths and questions that our clients might have about hypnosis. Here we list just a few of the most common questions and misconceptions so that you understand the truth about hypnosis and the power it offers for positive change.

Can I be hypnotized?

Hypnosis is a relaxed state that is natural and recurring. We experience it every day whether you realize it or not. If you ever lost yourself in a good book or a movie or found yourself daydreaming then a light hypnotic state will feel very familiar to you. When you go to sleep at night you enter an Altered State of Consciousness [a relaxed state] in order to arrive at the sleep state. When you wake in the morning you reverse this process. When working with a hypnotist some people find it easier than others to let themselves relax. Some people find it very easy to reach deeper levels of hypnosis the first time, while others feel more comfortable allowing themselves to experience a light to medium state of relaxation at first. At The C.Ht. Hypnosis Center we have many tools to help a client achieve a comfortable state of relaxation.

Will I be asleep?

Hypnosis is not a sleep state.
You will be awake and remember everything that you experience while in this empowered state of heightened relaxation. You're always in control. When you are experiencing hypnosis you are always in control. You can never be made to do anything in hypnosis that is against your ethical or moral values. On the contrary while in this peaceful and restful state you will find yourself calm and centered with an expanded and heightened sense of awareness. Hypnosis will allow you to experience an empowered state that is a proven way to help you realize your full potential.

Can Hypnosis be a lie detector.

Since the power of hypnosis begins with your own values and desires, you can never be made to reveal things you don't want to reveal. You are always in control.

How can I tell if it will work for me?

Your Hypnosis success depends solely upon you.
You start with a conscious desire to change, and your determination to succeed for that change will bring about the change you desire.

So how does Hypnosis help me reach my goal?

While in the total relaxed state of hypnosis what is actually happening is that we are asking the conscious mind to step aside so that we can talk to the subconscious mind with the requests for changes you want to make.

How many sessions do I need?

Again I would have to say that each individual is different, and it is totally up to the individual for what they are striving to achieve. I as a hypnosis practitioner am committed to helping you achieve your desired outcome with lasting results in the least amount of sessions.

What does it feel like?

Each individual has different feelings and awareness but everybody says is an amazing feeling of total relaxation and letting go.
